Xpert is an assessment that matches people to work that fits them. This policy says exactly what we collect, why, and who can see it. It is written to be read rather than to be survived.
The short version: your results belong to you. A company you enter a code for sees your name, your email address and whether you finished. They see nothing else unless you choose, section by section, to share it, and you can stop sharing at any time.
| What | Why |
|---|---|
| Your name | So a company that invited you knows who completed the assessment |
| Your email address | To create your account. You separately confirm a contact address, which is the one a company would use to reach you. It does not have to be the address you signed in with |
| Your answers to the 38 questions | To produce your results |
| Your results and report | So they are saved to your account and you can return to them |
| Your track, education and the job you said you want | You enter these. They shape your results |
| An account identifier | To keep your results attached to you and nobody else |
| Anonymous app usage and a device identifier | To see which screens are used and where people get stuck. Not linked to your name |
This list is deliberate, and it is enforced in the software rather than promised in a document.
If you enter a company's code, that company can see, from that moment:
That is the complete list. Your results come in five parts, and every one starts switched off. Before you turn one on, you see the exact words the company would read, not a summary of them. You choose what to share, you can change it later, and you can stop sharing everything at once. When you do, it disappears from their side immediately.
A company cannot see a part you did not share. They cannot pay to see it, and we will not release it to them. Where you have kept something back, their screen says so and tells them to ask you.
If you retake the assessment, sharing resets to nothing. A company never silently receives new content.
Xpert runs on Google Firebase, which provides our authentication, database and analytics. Data is stored on Google Cloud infrastructure. If you sign in with Apple or Google, that provider tells us your email address and name, and nothing else about you.
If you use Apple's Hide My Email, we ask you for an address you actually read, because a private relay address is not something an employer can use to reach you.
Your account and results are kept while your account exists, so that you can return to them. Ask us to delete your account and we will remove your account, your answers and your results, and revoke any access a company had.
You can ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or send it to you in a portable form. Write to privacy@x-pert.ai and we will respond within 30 days.
If you are in the UK or the EU, our lawful basis for processing is your consent for the assessment itself, and legitimate interest for keeping the service running and secure. You can withdraw consent by deleting your account.
Xpert is not intended for under-16s and we do not knowingly collect their data.
If we change this policy in a way that affects what is collected or who can see it, we will say so in the app rather than quietly update this page.
Xpert is operated by Xpert LLC, which is the data controller for everything described here. Write to privacy@x-pert.ai.
